HAPPY ENDINGS?

The ultimate happy ending?

As a counterpoint to my last post, and because I'm feeling a bit better, i have thought about happy endings. The Dream factory has thrived on positive denouements and even though most joyful conclusions are trite and favour the sickly sweet it is true to say that a good happy ending can be uplifting and leave you with a spring in your step. Some happy endings are ambiguous though, we are left to draw our own conclusions as to their meaning and some appear tragic but are ostensibly coated with dark humour.
